Have no clue who posted this question but I will go ahead and respond - Shellac is a BRAND NAME of gel there are many on the market today. So to answer your question they are the same.
As I state last week this same question came up. Using "PURE" acetone is the best way but it takes work there is no getting around it unfortunately. Soak a cotton ball in acetone and lay it on the nail for about 30 seconds that will help breakdown the polish. Sparkles are tough.
The best top coat I have found is Seche Vite it is my absolute favorite of all the brands on the market today. If you cannot find it you can always contact me and I will order and ship it to you.
Mixed reviews on those Lisa some people love them and others say they suck that's the best I can tell you. You have to try one for yourself and see if it works for you. No formal training is needed to apply a gel application. Youtube has lot's of "how to" videos that are very helpful.
That changes from year to year JoBeth, they come out with wonderful holiday reds that are always beautiful. I can honestly say I don't have a favorite because it changes so frequently.
Are they any nail polish for men only? For instance, Halloween comes and i want to paint my nails say a greyish colour. I mean do the whole nine yards like woman do, can men do the same things with nails like woman can?
Ken they do not specifically make polish for men but Cuccio makes a "matte" finish clear for men's manicures. However that being said you can use ladies polish no one would know.
It is not necessary to push back or cut your cuticles if they do not grow, mine do unfortunately and I have no choice but to trim them constantly or they inhibit the growth of my nails. If you need them trimmed and you are uncomfortable with trimming them yourself then I suggest you treat yourself to a nice manicure from time to time. Just keep them moisturized, just rub a little hand cream into them each night before bed. That will help them from drying out and ripping.
I have the best luck with Zoya. It's my favorite of all the professional brands on the market today. I can get a week or better out of Zoya but keep in mind you have to care for your manicured nails. I wear gloves when washing dishes, cleaning, etc. you must to protect it or you will lose your polish quickly.
Thank You So Much And I Do Wear Gloves When Cleaning Etc.I Will Try The Zoya Brand Again I Use Lots Of OPI Polishes So I Will Test Out Zoya And See How That Works Out Again And Try applying Clear Top Coats More Than One A Week Thanks for Answering my question! :)
What do you use to do the clean up on your cuticles after your done, can't see a smudge of nail polish on your fingers anywhere! Also, what's your favorite remover?
I have no clue who submitted this question - I will go ahead and respond but if you don't leave a name or email address you cannot win. I'm not a mind reader LOL.
Using a orangewood stick with a little cotton wrapped around the tip dunked in acetone (polish remover) is the best way to remove mistakes. Any pure acetone will do. I'm not a big fan of those fancy pretty smelling oil type removers. They don't work well.
As I told Kathy above Jessica the only way I know of to stop is Hypnosis. Don't be fooled by these paint on products that claim they will stop you from biting, they are just something with a bitter taste and I have yet to see them work for anyone.
My nails flake. It is really strange. I will get what looks like a chip in my nail and then the entire top few layers of my nail come off. I have tried nail hardeners, but none seem to help. Why do my nails do this? What can I do to stop this from happening, since hardeners do not help?
Please be patient I will get to your comment as quickly as I can, it is not necessary to post it several times. It must be released by me before it will show up on the blog - thank you!

DeleteWhat is the best way to remove glitter nail polish? It seems like I have to "scrub" it with remover to get it all off.
