I received this beautiful package of goodies from the kind folks at ella + mila. It contained the follow products: Soy Polish Remover, Matte Top Coat, five (5) beautiful colors, and two beautiful velvet matte liquid lipsticks. I love them all. As many of you know I am a licensed manicurist and often have the opportunity to receive samples of nail polish and other nail products. I welcome the opportunity to feature a new brand especially one that I really like. There are so many brands of polish on the market today my head spins. Most of them are easily recognizable by their name or bottle shape. The more popular ones such as OPI, Essie, China Glaze, are not my favorite brands.
As a professional I have tried them all and although most are pretty comparable in price and wear I have my favorites. I must admit I had not heard of the brand until it popped up on my social media feed. Since I am not currently working in the industry new brands tend to slip by me since I am not exposed to new products on a daily basis. I use a few criteria factors when testing out new nail products. When it comes to polish, I want it to go on evenly, how quickly it drys and how long it lasts. Now I will tell you I beat up my polish by typing all day long so there are times it doesn't even last me a week but I wear gloves when I do dishes and try my best to make it last.
I decided to use "Cool Crush" for my demonstration. It's a beautiful pink that reminds me of watermelon. Who doesn't love watermelon? The polish went on smoothly and covered evenly and dried very quickly. I really like the applicator brush as it is not thick and width like some companies have now incorporated into their packaging. I don't have much control over a thick brush, it doesn't leave much room for error. I prefer a thinner brush.
