ReplyDeleteMatte polish wears exactly the same as a high gloss polish they are made with the same chemicals. Everyone has their favorite polish manufacturer mine just happens to be Zoya and Jessica at the moment. I am not fond of OPI at all it just doesn't last on my hands or feet.

ReplyDeleteIt drives me insane as well, my best suggestion to you is to soak a cotton ball with pure acetone and let it sit for a few minutes on each nail it should soften the polish and allow the sparkles to come off a little easier.

Some times this can be caused by medication or even a medical condition but if it isn't any of those affecting your nails then it is just heredity. ReplyDeleteYes ridge filler has particles in it to even the nail surface, a base coat is just that a clear nail polish to prep the nail for polish.

ReplyDeleteThe yellowing is being caused by something you are exposing your nails to. Cigarette smoke, chemical cleaners, nail polish without using a base coat can yellow the nails, and some medications can cause this. There are products you can use that will bleach the yellow off your nails. I personally have never used one of them but I have been told they work well. I don't know the name off the top of my head but if you email me at couponcoach@verizon.net I will find out for you.
